We have now sailed through two pregnancies (from week zero to week thirty-eight) and sailed through the stages of newborn to infant to child onboard though an active cruising lifestyle. My word of advice is: Don’t wait and don’t overcomplicate.
Kids are versatile and the younger they are when you start, the easier thing are. Many say there is an “ideal stage,” however I don’t believe there is an age you or stage you have to wait for until you can go cruising. For us, the younger they were, the easier it was. So, if you are looking for support in casting yourself off to sea with your little ones, go for it. As they say, there is no time like the present!
