After 12 months back in NZ for Ayla’s birth, plus a bit of work to top up the cruising kitty, we returned to cruising life in September 2014.
ATEA was ashore in Pangkor Malaysia, and we cruised north from there to spend the next six months based between Langkawi in Malaysia and Phuket in southern Thailand. It was not a very ‘adventurous’ season but it was a highly enjoyable one – plenty of good company, delicious and affordable food, and duty free liquor to ease us along the path. Our family of 4 was visited by Grandparents and we embraced the widest ‘cruising family’ we’ve travelled with.
The season ended sooner than expected when work and medical concerns drew us back NZ in March 2015 , but we retain fond memories of six months very pleasant cruising .
